- Must observe and practice all Department/Plant Procedures including wearing the required PPE
- Adherence to plant safety, food Safety, sanitation standards, and following all GMP guidelines
- Maintain working knowledge and understanding of the plant refrigeration equipment
- Ensure all components of the refrigeration system are fit for use, safe and capable of operating as required by plant operations and the Process Safety Management (PSM) program
- Know and understand all start up, shut down, operating procedures for safe and efficient operations of the plant refrigeration and boiler systems
- Monitor the water treatment system as needed to keep boilers and refrigeration system condenser in proper operating conditions
- Conduct all needed preventive maintenance to assure optimum up-time operation with minimum adverse impact on operations
- Assure that all systems are operated in a safe manner and that all components of the system comply with OSHA, PSM Elements and other agencies requirements
- Lend knowledge and ideas to the solution of problems involving the plant refrigeration and boiler systems
- Ensure accurate and neat logs on the plant boiler and refrigeration systems and check machinery areas for any issues. Inform proper personnel of any potential issues
- Utilize CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution, and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work each day
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration, steam and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose, repair and overhaul pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, and related three phase systems
- Use precision tools such as dials indicators, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges
- Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams and read/interpret Electrical Schematics.
- Promote and foster Moms Meals culture, values, and principles
- AA in Engineering, Operations, or equivalent years of experience
- 1 – 3 years of experience in industrial or plant operations, maintenance, utilities, or a related field
- Skilled in rigging, and use of mechanical tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Skilled in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance is a plus
- Knowledge of cylinders, valves, manifolds, vacuum systems, air filtration and lubrication devices
- 480v 3 phase knowledge required.Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E
- Experience and knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices
- Allen Bradley experience
- Skilled in machine shop to fabricate within specific tolerance
- Certifications in ammonia refrigeration or boiler systems
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Able to perform repetitive movements
- Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
