- Coordinate strategies for defining, deploying, and maintaining the network, including planning technology roadmaps, and configuring and optimizing all networking systems and services
- Project management and participation
- Support existing Cisco infrastructure to facilitate daily operations as necessary; act as primary and/or escalation contact as appropriate
- Implement and support the Azure cloud networking environments
- Recommend new technology for future projects
- Although the primary focus of this position is to implement and support our network, the candidate may also be tasked with general support and projects which may include security, routing, switching and other network or datacenter related duties
- Provide L2 support for Network team deliverables for daily operations and implementation for new infrastructure
- Network monitoring and troubleshooting
- Remote IOS upgrade of network devices like Switches, Routers, Firewall and WLC
- Experience in Layer2 & Layer3 Switching technology
- Network segmentation design, planning and implementation
- Manage, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain: Cisco FTD Firewalls; IPS, AMP and URL, Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches, Cisco Viptela and SD-WAN Technologies, Cisco Catalyst Wireless Access Points, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, and Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and Security Technologies
- Implement Cisco AnyConnect VPN and Cisco Umbrella
- Ability to perform implementation and maintenance activities outside of normal business hours
- Possible on-call rotation and travel
- This position can be a Network Team Lead position with the proper skills and experience
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, or related field
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in the design, implementation and operation of Cisco based networks
- Cisco Qualifications, CCNA/CCNP (Route & Switch, Security, Wireless, etc)
- Cisco – WAN (MPLS, Internet, IPSEC, Encapsulation), SD-WAN, LAN and WLAN
- Detailed understanding of the function and configuration of Cisco networking equipment
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers in a large WAN environment
- Experience administering and configuring layer 2 and layer 3 Cisco networks
- SDWAN technologies
- Azure networking
- Knowledge of VLANs, spanning tree, BGP and EIGRP
- Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls
- Process discipline and documentation skills
- Go-getter mentality with the ability to show ownership of projects and initiative with minimal supervision
- Understanding of IP addressing including subnetting and supernetting
- Proactive recognition and correction of network related problems
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment; must be able to work with minimal supervision and/or direction
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
- Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels
- BA/BS in Information Systems or related area or equivalent experience
- SD-WAN experience
- Knowledge of Cisco ISE or other identity access management
